I was changing the furniture layout of my dining area and noticed that I've started a couple of collections. Funny how these things happen. I wasn't planning to be a collector of things.
Watering cans. I must admit, I really like the different colors. Funny thing is, I can't grow anything. My garden is a mess and all my houseplants are dead. So what do I need watering cans for? Well, to sit on my armiore and look pretty.
Carved and painted cats. This collection was truly an accident. I found the two larger cats at an estate sale and thought they had so much personality. And they were in my budget (cheap.) When I brought them home, I found that I had the orange cat as an ornament and the little cat hanging around in my "stuff." The two brown and yellow cats are a recent addition, added because my cat family needed some company.
Buttons. Any of you who know me well, know that I also collect glitter and sequins. Of course I'd collect buttons too! They are just a natural extension of the "few little things" I must have thousands of. Here are the buttons that have been sorted by color or type. I have a few more, waiting for homes. What do you think of my Dollar Store jars with the colored tops? Aren't they perfect for the matching color button? Too bad they didn't come in pink and purple also, although the clear paint cans do an admirable job.
Thank you for indulging me as I admired my little "pretties"
ta-ta!
